NURSING CARE IN THE AGE OF ADOLESCENTS PREGNANCY


Adolescence is a transitional period between childhood to adulthood and the relative 
has not reached the stage of mental and social maturity so they have to face the 
pressures of social emotions and conflicting. There are so many life events that will occur that will not only determine the life of adulthood but also quality of life for future generations so putting this as a critical period.

In developing countries of this transition took place very quickly. Even the age
at first sex was always younger than the ideal age to get married (Kiragu, 1995:10, quoted from Alexander, 1997).

Effect of global information (exposure to audio-visual media) are more easily accessible to
even lure children and adolescents to adapt-kebiaasaan unhealthy habits such as smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages, abuse of illicit drugs and injections, a fight or brawl between teenagers (Iskandar, 1997) . In the end, cumulatively these habits will accelerate the early age of sexually active as well as deliver them in the habit of high-risk sexual behavior, because most teenagers do not have accurate knowledge about reproductive health and sexuality and have no access to reproductive health information and services, including contraception.

Needs and the types of risks of reproductive health faced by adolescents has characteristics
different from children or adults. Risk types of reproductive health that must be faced teens include pregnancy, abortion, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), to sexual violence, as well as problems limited access to information and health services. 

The risk is influenced by many interrelated factors, namely demands for 
early marriage and sexual relationships, access to education and employment, gender inequality, sexual violence and the influence of mass media and lifestyle. 
Pregnancy under the age of 20 years (teenagers) are particularly vulnerable to complications. Physically, their reproductive organs are still in the process of maturation, whereas emotionally not ready to face the burden of pregnancy for nine months, according to dr.Boy Abidin, Sp.OG. 

Early pregnancy include the risk that is no less severe. Because the emotional mother
's mother is not stable and easily strained. While birth defects can arise due to
tensions in the womb, a sense of emotional denial when the mother
containing baby. (Ubayd Allah, 2000).
